Inlaid Patchwork

Went to the city art gallery today, and as part of their new exhibition they had work by Ursel Arndt.
They were really large pieces made out of brightly coloured felt and cut to crazy shapes. I'm having trouble finding any of the images on the net though :(

Nathan Mckenna

I found Nathan Mckenna on the same website I found Katherine Asher on. That websites not great for actually viewing images so I did a little further research on this guy. He is really varied with his work, this image is from a page showing his storyboards, oil paintings and skeches. His character design is awesome!

Katherine Asher

I found her on the Illustration website today, it wont let me post her images due to copyright but I wish I could do work like hers! Wish I had the patience to make watercolour work so well with illustration.

Lets get LOST!!!!

Proper ice cream! (even though it was a freezing day!)

This was the actual till they used!

These photos are for my first project for VisCom based on getting lost and finding new things. So me and my flatmate decided we were going to get on the first bus we see and just go. Luckily for us there was an old guy working for metro doing surveys about where your heading on the bus. So when he asked us where our destination was and we had no answer he explained to us where loads of the buses went and where we should go to find nice things!!! Very very nice people in Leeds!!!

We ended up in a small town called Otley, which is where the photos above where taken. We found loads of traditional tea rooms and small shops including the awesome sweet shop shown above!!

Winners of Red Bull's epic photo contest

This image is so amazing!
Also see all of the other Red Bull winners...

tattoo.tattoo.tattoo

So recently I've been getting really obsessed with Tattoo art. And while I was visiting my friend in Cumbria I finally found a tiny little newsagents that sold millions of tattoo magazines!! These images are some of my favourites from the mag :) (name of magazine and website is linked at the bottom of post)

I really think this idea of having a detailed version of an angel and devil resting on each shoulder is awesome! And I already have a cross in the middle of my upper back so it would work really well together!!!

I've added this last image because the detail is insane! Although I still can't understand why you would want and eye tattooed onto a different part of your body.

Newest tattoo design

This tattoo design is based on an image by one of my favourite artists James Jean. The only things I'e changed are the musicians hair and parts to the plant she's sitting in. Now to decide where to get it!!
